BAP Junior Drama Class
BAP Junior Drama Class Saturday 12th September 2015

‘Turn the lights down low’, is a production, which highlights the importance of energy saving and energy wastage: switching off lights when leaving a room, unplugging a mobile phone charger if not in use. The show raises awareness through fun, realistic and hard-hitting sketches and a short play written by Temi Awofadeju aged 10. This dramatic play sees Abi wasting energy all the time. One day she has a bad dream and gets a visit from God and his angels. They put her in a parallel world with hardly any electricity. She meets three groups: the eco warriors, the waste evils and the climates skeptics. Will this journey make Abi change the way she uses energy in the future? Richard Reid, Artistic Director of BAP says; “I support Temi fully in her efforts to write this play, because we need to encourage more young writers coming up through the ranks of theatre.
